In the game of affiliate marketing, most careers are short-lived. Why? Cause most noobs fail so miserably, so incredibly quickly, that it is too disheartening for them to continue.
Here are five common pitfalls to watch out for as you descend into the abyss of affiliate marketing: 1) Don't read forums that suck ass. For prime examples of affiliate marketing forums that are teeming with fail, please see Digital Point and/or Warrior Forum. 2) Don't spend your time refreshing your stats, only to watch your clicks grow and your EPC drop. 3) Don't buy some retarded domain and then try to sell it online acting like the auto-appraisal you got for it is worth a grain of shit (unless you plan to do so on the forums listed above, in which case you may find great success). 4) Don't skimp on your chair. Seriously. I had an office chair for like a year that was sub-par and I still have flashbacks of ass pain from one screw that used to poke through. You're gonna be sitting there for large amounts of time. It is imperative that you take that into account. 5) Don't use GoDaddy. That's all I've got right now. The rest you're just gonna have to learn the hard way. Love, kingofsp

Godaddy is great for first time purchases. What I do is register at least 5 domains at the same time, get the free privacy, and then slap on a promo code that I googled. Usually something like $6.95 per domain name per year. Good deal.

Jea, what kingofspam said. I'd also like to add one bit: DO NOT LISTEN TO FLEWID. HE IS ONLY GOOD FOR TWO THINGS: 1) BEING ABUSED 2) BEING LAUGHED AT |

6) Don't stick it up her butt 2 hours after eating at a Mexican buffet.
|
7) always test your fucking links... Ughhh. Nothing like finding a url typo after a site has been live for like 3 months.
